From Blaton to Ath

The old coal-transport canal connects Blaton to the Dendre. Its glory years were at the beginning of the 20th century, when a million tons of goods transited upon it each year. Its two ladders of locks and its narrow section now make it impractical for commercial traffic, but it is a pleasant route for recreational sailors to use.
