From Digoin to Briare

The waterway runs alongside the great untamed river. This is the quickest inter-basin commercial link between Paris and Lyon. The Canal begins with the astonishing metal canal bridge at Briare, the most grandiose means of crossing the Loire. The town of Decize provides the option of a halt in the old Loire.
